The Pixie? On Me?

Before I met my boyfriend, I was on the move to getting my hair to grow. I had relaxed hair and for some reason, my hair always stopped growing a little pass my shoulders. I dealt with it and hoped for the longest I could find a recipe or something to get my hair to grow.
Fast forward, I met my boyfriend and of course he wanted me to be a natural woman. Like ladies, what is up with these men thinking that a part of their boyfriend title is to be your personal stylist? They want to tell you what kind of hairstyles will look right with you or what outfits will suit you. Like, they can't even dress themselves, let alone, but their dirty clothes in the laundry basket.

But, anyways.... I can't talk much because I straight up fell for my boyfriend's "You would look so pretty with ..." opinion. Since the beginning or our relationship. He told me I would look so beautiful with short, natural hair. That natural word.....I know y'all have heard that natural word from your partners mouth. They say things like, "You should go natural" or "Just wear your natural hair, why are you hiding. Then, you have to break it down to them and say whose hiding; I love being natural but all I want to do is enhance my beauty and dress up nice for today.

lol.......

Back to my point, my boyfriend convinced me to cut my hair short into a pixie cut. Now, it wasn't a drastic cut because my hair wasn't that long to begin with. I was so into his idea that I started looking at pixie cuts on google images.

And so, I came up with this look...

Very simple and cute. I definitely wanted to go for the long side bang look. I then made an appointment for the very next day. I didn't want to prolong in getting my hair cut because I would have changed my mind.

And so, the outcome.....

Overall, I really was super happy with my pixie haircut. The hairstylist glued a few extensions to give me that full bouncy, cut-edge look. I loved it. I kept up with the hairstyle for about 5 months and then decided that it was too much to keep up with while I was in school. And when I told my boyfriend I wanted to switch hairstyles, he then said, "Oh, you would look good with straight long hair."

............really............

Toast!
