Makeup Tips For Busy Moms
My mother got into makeup because of me, of course:). Each day, she is eager to learn makeup tips on how to improve her makeup application and how to do her makeup as quick as possible. First, off, let me tell you all that every time she sees me with a product that she never seen before, she goes out her way to obtain that product and incorporate it in her makeup routine. I try my best to not use any fancy things around her because she will want it which will cause her makeup application to become longer and tedious. What I do try to do is find and teach her quick alternative ways to get the same flawless finish as me. Here are some quick tips for moms, or busy moms who loves makeup, but want to speed up the process of application and obtain an amazing outcome.
1. Prep and Prime
Before applying any makeup, make sure your base is well prepped and prime. I stress this to my mom all the time. You can't just go in with makeup. You need a smooth, workable canvas. I also recommend to use tinted moisturizers alone or under foundations to refrain from using heavy foundations and keep the face light.
Use sheer to medium coverage foundations that can be built to fuller coverage. Going right in with a full coverage foundation will take some time to blend out and if you go in to heavy, you will have to take some extra time to adjust the foundation on your face.
I recommend using your hands to apply foundation, this is quicker way to make sure foundation is applied in all area of the face and that foundation is evenly spread on the face. This application will also give maximum coverage and will definitely save you product so you don't have to keep running to the store to restock your foundation.
Concealer is a little tricky to work with but once you get the hang of it, you'll forever love it. Concealer is used to hide blemishes, dark circles, discoloration, and brighten areas on the face. It can be used alone or with foundation. Moms, if you have no time at all for a complete makeup application, take some concealer and use your ring finger to apply it under your eyes and anywhere else you like. Believe me, you'll have the same outcome as if you spent hours doing your makeup.
I recommend using water proof and buildable concealers to prevent creasing.
5. Blush and Bronzers
Add some warmth to your face in a couple of seconds. Use a big fluffy brush for a quick application.
6. Facial Spray/ Setting Spray
Lightly mist a setting spray over your finish look to brighten and radiate the face.
Okay moms, your all ready to start your day. Hope you find these tips to be helpful when enhancing your beauty.
