My Foundation Combo | Deep Dark Skin with Warm Undertones
Hmm...What is my Foundation Combo at the moment?
It is very hard for me to find an exact foundation shade to match my skin complexion. That is exactly why I have lots of foundations from different brands to mix around and create a shade that matches closest to my skin color.
So, at the moment I am using a mixture of Becca Ultimate Coverage Foundation in the shade Amber and Maybelline Super Stay Foundation in the shade Warm Coconut. Sometimes if I want to switch up the coverage/ finish I go for another prestige brand such as NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundaion (Cadiz) or Clinique Beyond Perfection Foundation + Concealer (Amber) while still mixing with the Maybelline Superstay Foundation (Warm Coconut or Warm Sand). But my go to is the Becca with Maybelline.
My complexion is Deep Dark with warm (peachy and golden) undertones.
Why this combo?
The Becca Foundation in the shade Amber match closely to my undertones and an exact match to my chest color. Because my face is darker than my chest, I use the Maybelline foundation in the shade Warm Coconut to darken up the Becca Foundation; basically to add color to the Becca Foundation. It's summer time so I have to darken up my go to foundations to get my shade match. The Becca Ultimate Coverage Foundation helps with the coverage and pigmentation and the Maybelline Super Stay Foundation also help with coverage, but mostly loosen up the consistency in the Becca Foundation. The Becca Foundation can be a bit hard to blend out, but with the Maybelline Foundation mixed with it, I find it at lot easier to blend out with my beauty sponge.
If you have high-end foundations that do not match your skin complexion completely, purchase an in expensive, quality foundation from your drugstore to mix with the high-end foundation to get an exact or close shade match. Save them coins babe!
