Prep and Prime | Joah Beauty Glow Activator Radiance Primer| Drugstore Primers

Prepping and priming the face is the most important step before applying makeup. This step determines if your makeup will have a flawless finish or a not so flawless finish. It also helps with cutting down on makeup products, such as foundation. Do you ever find yourself using a lot of foundation because it's not giving you that coverage it says it gives? It's because the foundation is moving around and not adhering to the face properly. It's okay to skip primers and use moisturizers or hydrating products. As long as you prep the skin with products that are great for you skin or just a water- base facial spray, your makeup finish will be on point, flawless.

Try
On the back of one hand, use a primer, moisturizer, facial oil, or water-base facial spray, On the back of your other hand, do not use any product. Apply foundation or concealer on the back of both hands and see which hand was the easiest to apply the foundation or concealer and which hand kept the foundation and concealer in place while applying.

Making sure you face is well hydrated and  primed also protects your skin and help with skin concerns, such as uneven skin, dullness, or large pores. If you have oily skin- go for products that are hydrating, mattifying. and that minimizes pores. If you have dry skin, lean towards moisturizers, hydrating product, or oil- based primers.

Joah Beauty Glow Radiance Primer

I discovered Joah Beauty Brand while making a quick stop into my local CVS Pharmacy Store. I was amazed how neat and beautiful the Joah Beauty products were set up and displayed in the store. It caught my attention and I really wanted to purchase something from this brand. I decided to try out a primer; can't go wrong with trying out a primer. The Joah Beauty Brand developed a hydrating primer, a pore minimizing primer, a mattifying primer, and a radiance primer. I leaned towards the Glow Activator Radiance Primer (I guess I chose it because the packaging was so cute).

So what are my thoughts on this primer?
Girl.........

The Joah Beauty Glow Activator Radiance Primer is love in a bottle! The primer has a smooth consistency and leaves the skin feeling smooth and hydrated. It doesn't create any buildup while massaging it on the face unlike some primers that creates particles if you continuously work it in to the skin. Infused with real 24k gold flakes, the Glow Activator Radiance Primer creates a dewy look and allows foundation to glide smoothly onto the skin. This primer is a dupe for the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer; but he Joah primer is a more on the moisturizing side. I know it's a big reach but the Joah primer silky silicone base gives a poreless, blurring affect similar to the Smashbox Photo Finishing Primer. Because of it's highly great formula, this primer can be worn alone. It gives the face a radiant, non oily glow. This primer is great for all skin types (I have oily- combination skin).

I give The Glow Activator Radiance Primer 5 stars. Ya'll know how hard it is to find a great primer, especially an inexpensive one. At the moment, I am definitely loving my Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Primer. But, now since I discovered the Joah Beauty Radiance Primer, I can switch between the two; getting the same flawless finish from both primers.

Joah Beauty Glow Activator Primer Retails for $9.99 exclusively at CVS Pharmacy and online at www.joahbeauty.com
